Childhood by Michael Jackson

in his own words:

Childhood by Michael Jackson

No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood (Childhood) I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
But the dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my Childhood....

Whatever your views on Michael be it, "He was a genius...He was a child molester...He was an icon...He was a freak...," it's hard to ignore the fact that he was a man who was shaped by his experiences, not unlike any of us.

A prayer for Michael Jackson

Your tired soul now searches

For another distant shore

Where the gentle breeze catches

Your song and makes it soar

Child so sweet and gentle

Child you will remain

Life for you a riddle

Whose answer spelt just pain

This world and its ugly ways

You couldn’t understand

And like Peter Pan you spent your days

In your Neverland

May the world not judge you harshly

Or dwell on your image defiled

For in many ways you were so lonely

And guileless as a child.

One of my favourite songs of Michael Jackson , from a very long list

Latest: Michael Jackson's Physician Questioned for Three Hours

An attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray tells ET the latest details behind the investigation into the death of Michael Jackson -- including what happened during the doctor's three-hour meeting with investigators on Saturday.

ET has learned that Dr. Murray, along with his attorney Ed Chernoff, met with the Los Angeles Police Department for a second time to resolve unanswered questions about the circumstances surrounding Jackson's sudden passing.

Dr. Murray's attorney tells ET the following about Saturday's meeting:

"During the meeting Dr. Murray helped identify the circumstances around the death of the pop icon and clarified some inconsistencies. Dr. Murray has been in Los Angeles since the death of Mr. Jackson. He rode in the ambulance to the hospital and stayed at the hospital for hours comforting and consoling the Jackson family. Investigators say the doctor is in no way a suspect and remains a witness to this tragedy.

"Dr. Murray will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and asks that all keep the Jackson family in their prayers."

The statement also revealed that Dr. Murray was hired by Jackson in May of 2009 to accompany him on his upcoming concert tour.

The iconic King of Pop passed away suddenly on Thursday at the age of 50.

Attorney for Dr. Murray: Murray 'Fully Cooperated' With Investigators

The attorney representing Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's personal physician, has released a statement to ET about the investigation into the pop star's death.

Dr. Murray's attorney says that Murray has been fully cooperative with investigators, and will be answering questions to authorities through most of Saturday.

The statement also says that Dr. Murray is a witness and not a suspect in the death investigation of Michael Jackson, adding that Dr. Murray was "distraught" over the pop star's death, rode to the hospital with Jackson on Thursday, and made "frantic attempts to revive him."

The full statement reads:

"Investigators in L.A. are currently looking into the death of Michael Jackson. Dr. Conrad Murray has been in Los Angeles since Michael Jackson's death and has fully cooperated with investigators. Dr. Murray will likely be answering questions for most of the day with investigators. Dr. Murray has retained the Houston law firm of Stradley, Chernoff & Alford. Edward Chernoff, a partner in the firm, is currently meeting with investigators in Los Angeles.

"Investigators have made it clear to Mr. Chernoff that Dr. Murray is considered to be a witness to the events surrounding Michael Jackson's death and he is not a suspect. Dr. Murray hired legal counsel to help guide him through the police investigation process. The law firm was hired to make sure the police investigation is conducted properly. Dr. Murray rode with Michael Jackson to the hospital and made frantic attempts to revive him along the way. Dr. Murray considered himself to be a friend of Michael Jackson and he is very distraught over his death. He will continue to cooperate in every respect."

Jackson Family Releases Statement to Fans

The Jackson family has released a statement to fans, just two days after the tragic, shocking death of Michael Jackson.

The statement, posted to People.com, reads:

"In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point, where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times.

"We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you -- who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever."

Joe Jackson, Michael's father, added his own message to the statement that read:

"My grandchildren are deeply moved by all the love and support you have shown for them and their father, Michael Jackson."

Joe Jackson Speaks for Family: 'We Don't like What's Going On'

Joe Jackson, the father of Michael Jackson, is speaking out about how the Jackson family is handling the death of the pop icon.

"We're holding a family meeting now," Joe Jackson told People.com. "We don't like what's going on."

Members of the Jackson family, including Michael Jackson's mother Katherine, have gathered to mourn at the family's Encino, Calif. home, says People.

A source close to the Jackson family tells People.com that on Friday the adult family members tried to contain their emotions in front of Jackson's three children -- Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and "Blanket," 7 -- but that by Saturday, their emotions could not be contained.

"The kids have fallen apart today," the source tells People. "They have taken it so, so hard. Yesterday everybody was being really strong for the kids, but today it just hit everybody. There are so many tears."

The unnamed source goes on to tell People: "There is so much sadness in the house today, it's unreal. They are so confused. They are so in the dark…The family has no access to the will. [Michael's lawyers] won't let the family see the will ... The family has no idea what to do. They don't even know when to bury him. They don't know what to do about anything. They aren't getting any answers from Michael's lawyers."

Citing a Jackson family source, People says that Michael's mother Katherine visited the late superstar's home to pick up clothing for his burial, but was rebuffed by members of the star's camp.

People, citing a family source, reports that the Jacksons are equally concerned that Debbie Rowe, Jackson's ex-wife and mother of his two eldest children, will try to raise Jackson's kids.

"They haven't heard from Debbie Rowe and don't know what's going on in that respect, either. Joe and Katherine really want the children," the source tells People. "They for sure want the children."

People, citing another family source, says that Joe Jackson will request an independent autopsy. The source said: "They're in shock and they want answers…The issue is the people around him: vampires and blood suckers."

Dr. Conrad Murray is scheduled to meet with Los Angeles Police Department homicide investigators Saturday afternoon, says a new report.

Citing the law firm representing Dr. Murray, the Houston Chronicle reports that the physician will meet with investigators in Los Angeles this afternoon.

The paper reports that Ed Chernoff of Stradley, Chernoff and Alford arrived in Los Angeles Friday night in order to be with Murray when he meets with investigators.

"He intends to cooperate. He has nothing to hide. He is going to help them in any way he can with their investigation," Chernoff told the paper.

"We've been told more than once that this is an investigation into the death, that it's not a murder investigation and that Dr. Murray is not a suspect in any way. This is just an information-gathering meeting and nothing more," Chernoff told the Chronicle.
